The GAA football coach will visit The Heath NS. Paul Whelan, the recently appointed Games Promotion Officer from The Heath GAA club will begin coaching Gaelic football in the school every week. Paul will visit the school on Thursdays and Fridays and work with ever class from Junior Infants up to 6th Class. We wish Paul the best of luck in this new venture and hope the children enjoy working with him.

Friday 9.30 – 10.15am: Junior Infants 10.15 – 11.00am: Senior Infants 11.30 – 12.15: Second Class 12.15 – 1.00: Third Class Hurling Training will start after Easter. Martin O' Connell from Clonad will train 1st-3rd class every Monday from 15th April until June 12.15pm-1.00pm First Class 1.00pm-1.45pm Second Class 1.45pm-2.30pm Third Class Term 3 will be a busy and exciting period for Sixth Class.
Artist, Evgeny Chubatty, is visiting our class twice a week to lead our students in an art project that will take place over three weeks. Students will be exploring the local history of the Heath through the media of clay, fabric and fibre, construction and more. Furthermore, 6th Class have been actively practicing their photography skills in their surrounding area over the last number of weeks! They have just received their disposable film cameras and have been tasked with making a record of their locality by taking photographs of their environment. This will culminate in an exhibition here in the school. Date TBA.to edit. Music Generation starts back on Tuesday 5th September for every Tuesday throughout the year

Music Generation are hosting a Community Concert on Sunday 28th April at 4pm in Parish Church. Children from 1st-4th class will participate.
LOFFA (Laois Offaly Families for Autism) are hosting a Rainbow Day" Autism Awareness Fundraiser 2024 on Friday April 26th. They ask that pupils make a small donation for LOFFA on the day.
