School will close on Friday 22nd December at 12pm for all classes and will re-open on Monday 8th January. The staff of the school would like to wish all our pupils, parents and families a happy and peaceful Christmas and look forward to working with you all again in 2018.

The Heath National School Soccer League continues at Lunchtime with 3 games at 1.10pm and 3 games at 1.20pm. Teams and games given out later in the day. Team Captains to make sure their players know when they are playing.

Junior Infants and Senior Infants Tuesday 19th December 10.00am-11.00am 3rd/4th Class Tuesday 19th December 11.30am-12.30pm 1st/2nd Class Thursday 21st December 10.00am-11.00am 5th Class Thursday 21st December 11.30am-2.00pm Don't forget the walk a marathon project continues. Any pupil that has the marathon walked before Tuesday, the 19th December will enjoy a Christmas film in the school hall. So get walking.
Our annual Cross country competition has now started. It will take place every Tuesday and Thursday for 1st-6th Class until Christmas.
Junior: 1st and 2nd Class 11.30am Intermediate: 3rd and 4th Class and Senior: 5th and 6th Class will race after Big Lunch Children must run a minimum of 3 races to win anything and run 5 races to be in with a chance to get a medal. Boys and Girls from the school choir will go see a musical this Thursday 14th December in Scoil Chriost Ri as a treat for all the hard work all year. The bus will leave at 10am and return at approximately 12.45pm. We hope they enjoy the show
We are nearing our deadline for our Readathon. We hope that everyone is reaching their target of one book per week. Money collected can be returned any time between now and the deadline which is this Friday 15th of December.
2nd-6th Class will attend Mass in the Heath Church on Friday 8th December at 9.30am. Children can be dropped to the church from 9am. Children will walk or will get a bus back depending on The weather.
Portlaoise Leisure Centre are doing Born to Move classes in the school for all classes.
Third Class - Sixth Class Friday 1st December and Friday 8th December A FUTSAL Tournament will take place in Portarlington Community Centre from 10am-1pm on Tuesday 5th November. The bus will leave at 9.30am and return at approximately 1.30pm.
