Hurling and Camogie takes place this Wednesday in Clonad GAA from 3.30pm-4.30pm,
Choir takes place every Wednesday from 1.00-1.30pm from 2nd class upwards in Ms. Owens room to prepare for the First Holy Communion Mass
From the start of 2016/2017 school year the school will open at 9am with classes starting at 9.20am. School will close at 1.40pm for infant classes and 2.40pm for all other classes. See February newsletter for more information.
Swimming takes place every Wednesday from 13th January for Junior, Senior and Fifth and Sixth Class for 7 weeks.
The cost per child is €35.00. The option is to pay through e-payment online or pay though the School. Best of Luck to Kate Major who represents our school in the Laois Spelling Bee tomorrow, Tuesday. Kate got all the way to the All-Ireland Final last year.
School will be closed for our Mid Term on Thursday 18th and Friday 19th February.
Confirmation takes place this Saturday at 12 in the Parish Centre for the boys and girls in 6th class. We hope the students and their families have a lovely day.
The Green School Week is on this week.. Eveery class will be doing something relating to Green School. We will be having our Flag inspection on the 8th March.
We are going to learn songs, Love Our World and the Recycling Song. Junior Infants/Senior Infants - Colouring Competition 1st/2nd- Poetry Competition (Acrostic) 3rd/4th- bling your boot competition 5th - recycled art lesson 6th- litter pick and recycled art lesson. Each day there will be a green related impossible question and there will also be various activities going on. First and Second Class start Sports Hall Athletics in the Rock on 27th January for 4 weeks. They will be brought by bus to the Rock. The cost is €3 per child per week.
