The following are the dates applicable for admission to Junior Infants
Junior Infant Application Forms will be available from 5th January

Making an application to the school:
Before making an application for a place in our school, parents should print the school's admission policy and the school's Code of Behaviour available below. It is important to understand that our school is often oversubscribed and places are allocated in line with the criteria set out in our admission's policy. To make an application parents/guardians should download and complete the application form for either junior infants or all other classes, both of which are available below.
All sections on the application form must be completed and the form signed, indicating that you have read, understood and accept the school's Code of Behaviour. The application should be forwarded to the school attaching an original birth certificate and a recent utility bill (within 3 months) in the parent/guardians name as proof of address. Failure to fully complete the application form or to include the requested documentation will deem the application incomplete and result in the application being returned.
Friday 13th January 2023 is the date on which the school will begin to accept applications for admission for September 2023. No applications for junior infants can therefore be accepted prior to this date and any received will be returned. Please ensure that you use the correct form when making an application. The closing date for Junior Infant applications is Thursday 3rd February 2023.
JUNIOR INFANTS 2023/2024 APPLICATION FORMS WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED FROM FRIDAY 13TH JANUARY 2022.

Reviews/Appeals of Applications
Review of decisions by the Board of Management
The parent of a student may request the board to review a decision to refuse admission. Such requests must be made in accordance with Section 29C of the Education Act 1998.
The timeline within which such a review must be requested and the other requirements applicable to such reviews are set out in the procedures determined by the Minister under section 29B of the Education Act 1998 which are published on the website of the Department of Education and Skills.
The board will conduct such reviews in accordance with the requirements of the procedures determined under Section 29B and with section 29C of the Education Act 1998.
Note: Where an applicant has been refused admission due to the school being oversubscribed, the applicant must request a review of that decision by the board of management prior to making an appeal under section 29 of the Education Act 1998.
Where an applicant has been refused admission due to a reason other than the school being oversubscribed, the applicant may request a review of that decision by the board of management prior to making an appeal under section 29 of the Education Act 1998.
Right of appeal
Under Section 29 of the Education Act 1998, the parent of the student may appeal a decision of this school to refuse admission.
An appeal may be made under Section 29 (1) (c) (i) of the Education Act 1998 where the refusal to admit was due to the school being oversubscribed.
An appeal may be made under Section 29 (1) (c) (ii) of the Education Act 1998 where the refusal to admit was due a reason other than the school being oversubscribed.
Where an applicant has been refused admission due to the school being oversubscribed, the applicant must request a review of that decision by the board of management prior to making an appeal under section 29 of the Education Act 1998. (see Review of decisions by the Board of Management)

- The school will commence accepting applications for admission on 13th January ‘23
- The school shall cease accepting applications for admission on 3rd February ‘23
- The date by which applicants will be notified of the decision on their application is 17th February ‘22
- The period within which applicants must confirm acceptance of an offer of admission is 3rd March '22
