The School installed a walking track around the school field this summer. The track will be available to pupils from 1st to 6th at lunchtimes throughout the year. Mr Dowling will be encouraging pupils to use the track with his Walk a Marathon Challange.
On Monday 25th September members of the Fire Brigade will visit the students from third class to give a talk on Fire Safety.
Reminder. From Monday 18th September the Junior Infnats will finish at 1.40pm every day.
3rd Class will visit Emo House on Monday 11th September. They will take a guided tour of Emo Court and then have a nature and science workshop in the beautiful gardens. The bus will depart the school at approximately 9.30 and leave Emo at 1pm. Weather permitting the children might have a picnic. The cost is €5 per child.
Cross Country racing takes place in Killenard on Wednesday 13th September for 4th,5th and 6th class. Our school will send 6 teams to the Laois Athletics Cross Country Day. The bus will leave the Heath at 9.45 and return at approximately 1pm. The cost per child is €5 for the bus.
