National Parents Council Talk

3/10/2018

As part of Laois CONNECTS Mental Health Week, The Heath NS Parents Council in conjunction with Laois County Council and the National Parents Council have organised a talk/workshop during this week titled ‘Supporting Parents to Support their Children's Mental Health & Wellbeing’.  This workshop will take place on Monday, 8th October @ 7:45pm in the Heath National School with guest speaker on the night Sharon Hayden.  The workshop will focus on exploring the factors that influence mental health and wellbeing in their child and how to build and nurture resilience. This will be a fantastic opportunity for parents/guardians and teachers to participate in an interactive workshop to further explore and understand these issues.
This is also a great opportunity for parents/guardians to connect with other parents and to bring home some useful and practical tips to their own families on how best to support their child's positive mental health and wellbeing.
Looking forward to seeing you there.
